Malaga-born Magus Ziur has had a deep passion for music from an early age, with a special interest in dance and electronic music. He began his career as a DJ in 2006 after buying his first turntables.
As La Cupula Lounge’s resident DJ in Benalmádena for 7 years, he presided over the summer seasons playing deep house on Sunday nights. His sets were very personal with the kind of melodic and vocal touches that made club-goers connect with him instantly.
Although deep and progressive are his go-to styles, Ziur’s real love is undoubtedly techno with its signature melodic tones. This style was developed and later evolved at clubs around Malaga, including Metrica Club, Sala Weekend, Lombok Klub, Palladium, White Club with Eventia, Heaven Beach Club Central Electronic Club and Sala Spectra with Project13 as resident.
He often shared rooms with other well-known DJs and friends from the Malaga scene: Guillermo Gárate, Salva Ballesteros and Eric Benito Martínez as Microluxe, Alvaro Muñoz, Alberto Segador, Miguel Payda, Julian M. Camós aka Foreverness, Juanjo Moreno aka Bodo aka Dr Emp, Var Gonzalez aka Avar Garden, Rafa Garcia, Locati, Miguel Tovar, Johnmeister, Fher, Le Coné, Paula Kasbaeh, DVNMZ the DJ and producer Marcos In Dub, and the Croatian International Unique.
He is currently resident of the famous Malaga collective ‘Project 13’, together with Avar Garden, Rafa García and Miguel Tovar. They play every Thursday at the central Sala Spectra in Malaga.
He is also collaborating DJ for the radio station in Ibiza (Ibiza Fraile Radio) and for Turkish online channel, Radio Deep Sound. He presented the weekly programme, ‘Deep Impact Radio Show’ on Marbella’s ROXX FM.
For the last couple of years, Magus Ziur has begun to take tentative steps towards professional music production. His talent is in adapting his styles to suit any room, club or event. What is clearly obvious is his visible connection with the public. He has a predilection for music into which he injects melodies with a force that doesn’t let up; it is techno at its finest.
Musically, he is still growing personally and professionally, but his future seems certain both as a DJ and producer.
